Mark J. Lerner, President

Prior to establishing Morgen, Evan & Company in 1992, Mr. Lerner was the Managing Director and head of the Japan Corporate Finance Group at Chase Manhattan Bank. Before that, he served as the head of the Japan Group of the investment banking division of Merrill Lynch from 1982-1989. His international banking career started with Banker's Trust Company in 1976. Mr. Lerner has been deeply involved in the Asian markets for more than 25 years and is a frequent speaker at professional conferences dealing with Japan/U.S. relations. He has spoken on the development of technology partnerships in Asia for the Government of Canada/Department of Foreign Affairs, and has also worked closely with the Canadian Advanced Technology Association (CATA).

Mr. Lerner is the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Vassar College art museum - the third largest college/university art museum in the United States. He also serves as a member of the Executive Board of Directors of M&A International, Inc., the world's leading alliance of independent M&A advisors with membership in over 35 countries. Mr. Lerner was the previous Chairman of M&A International from 2004 to 2005 and is currently the Vice President in charge of the Asia Pacific region.

Mr. Lerner received an MBA in finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania , and an AB in Applied Mathematics from Vassar College.


John Mondoloni, Managing Director / New York Office

Mr. Mondoloni is a Managing Director in Morgen, Evan’s New York Office. Prior to assuming his position at Morgen, Evan & Company in 1997, Mr. Mondoloni was a Senior Associate in the Marketing and Corporate Development department of Armitage in the UK.

Mr. Mondoloni’s activities are presently focused on mergers and acquisitions and strategic partnerships in the U.S., Japan and Europe. Mr. Mondoloni brings a strong European perspective to Morgen, Evan’s developing European activities.

Mr Mondoloni has written a number of articles on business transactions between the U.S. and Japan and on the U.S. Tech and Healthcare industries for major European newspapers. He is also a regular speaker on the subject at M&A conferences in New York.

Mr Mondoloni is the President of a French Executive Club (Executifs212) based in New York. The club’s major objective is to bring together senior executives from markets of French based language (France, Swiss, Belgium...) for the main purpose of doing business, creating strategic partnerships, joint ventures, M&A and other types of commercial relationships. Mr Mondoloni is also an active member of the M&A International Technology and Healthcare groups where he has been Chairman of several committees. Mr. Mondoloni currently serves as the Chairman of the Healthcare industry group of M&A International.

Mr. Mondoloni received a Masters degree in Management and Finance, with a Minor Degree in Mathematics from IFG Business School (France), and University of Lyon (France).


Michel Cousineau, Director, Healthcare Practice/ New York Office

Mr. Cousineau is a Director for Morgen Evan. For 30 years, he has worked in various sectors of Health Care. His experience includes fundamental research, diagnostics/research products and instrumentation, genomics and most recently, in the BioPharmaceutical sector. Mr Cousineau has held national and international management positions in Business Development at Aeterna Zentaris and several genomics and development stage companies. Earlier in his career, Mr Cousineau managed divisions as well as sales and marketing responsibilities in companies ranging from large corporations with offices in North America and Europe to start-ups.

Mr. Cousineau’s activities are presently focused on mergers and acquisitions as well as strategic partnerships in the U.S. and Europe. He brings a comprehensive international business development perspective to Morgen, Evan’s activities.

Mr. Cousineau received a MBA (École des HEC) and a B.Sc. in Biochemistry from the University of Montreal.

Amy Liu, Vice President / Shanghai Office

Ms. Liu is a Vice President in Morgen, Evan’s Shanghai Office. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Liu worked in the financial consulting industry, namely at SBA Stone Forest, an Associate member of Chio Lim Stone Forest (Singapore) and a member of Horwath International (Global). Ms. Liu was previously a corporate finance executive focusing on assisting small to medium sized companies with their financing aspects. Ms. Liu also assisted various clients to uncover strategic acquisition opportunities via M&A. In addition, Ms. Liu is experienced in the corporate incorporation area, having successfully assisted clients to set up different overseas and offshore companies to widen their business reach.

Ms. Liu received a MSc in International Economics from The University of Bradford (UK), and a BA in Management & Economics from The HeiLongJiang University.


Clifford C. Speer, Vice President International Business Development

Having primary responsibility to support strategic partnerships and alliances between U.S. and international defense companies, Clifford is based in Washington, D.C. He has extensive senior level experience in the aerospace, nuclear, and hospitals services industries. Before joining Morgen, Evan & Co., Clifford was Director of International Business Development for Smiths Aerospace.

Clifford's strong personal relationships with international governments' economic, defense, and industrial cooperation missions provide our clients with the support and experience needed to gain direct access to these government agencies, thus maximizing official recognition of successful international defense partnerships.

During his aerospace industry career, Clifford formulated and implemented corporate wide direct/indirect offset policy. He also managed and mitigated multi-million dollar offset obligations in Sweden, Norway, New Zealand, and South Korea.

Clifford has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Boston University with a major in Organization Behavior and a minor in Economics.


Robert R. Jacalone, Vice President International Business Development

Robert is responsible for the defense sector activities of Morgen, Evan & Co., supporting international strategic alliances and acquisitions. He is based in the Los Angeles . Robert was previously a marketing executive for a major U.S. aerospace company. During his tenure he was responsible for successful sales in countries in the regions of Asia-Pacific, Europe , Middle East and South America . Robert has also been responsible for major counter trade and offset projects throughout the various regions.

He has over 30 years of experience in international sales with several Fortune 500 firms including Northrop Grumman, Litton Industries, and ITT.

Robert received his Bachelor of Engineering Degree from West Coast University.
