Morgen, Evan and Co. is a private investment banking firm, created in 1992. MECo Japan is the division of Morgen, Evan which focuses on cross-border business transactions in Japan. Our division’s activities are primarily concentrated in structuring mergers and acquisitions, strategic partnerships, joint ventures, and private financing for technology-based companies.

Created in 1994, MECo Japan’s principal objective is to assist multinational firms create mutually beneficial, synergistic relationships. Forming a partnership, however, is a major undertaking requiring substantial planning and the right resources. Our team of professionals possesses significant experience with Asian business transactions. With a completely bilingual staff in Tokyo, we have the ability and relationships to get deals done in Japan, and a proven track record in bringing deals to closure with Japanese corporations.

With a principal office in Tokyo, MECo Japan maintains excellent references and exhaustive contacts in a wide range of industries. Utilizing our expertise, we can provide our clients with valuable advice on establishing contacts and further maintaining strong working business relationships.

In addition, we are a member of M&A International Inc., the world's largest network of privately-owned investment banking firms focusing on merger and acquisition transactions. Currently, M&A International Inc. has 42 members in 36 different countries, providing its members with access to a global deal network.

President Mark Lerner of Morgen, Evan was the previous chairman of M&A International Inc and is currently the Vice President in charge of the Asia Pacific region.

Morgen, Evan is one of the founding members of several major industry groups of M&A International :Technology and Healthcare. These groups are comprised of a group of selected M&A International members who all have specific expertise and focus within these respective industries. The Technology Group’s areas of concentration include: Internet software, Internet content, Networking, Telecommunications, Electronics and by extension, Software and Hardware. The Healthcare Group’s area of concentration includes: pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, biopharmaceuticals/biotechnology and medical devices.

With our continuing success, MECo Japan has developed an industry specialization beyond just the technology and healthcare sector. Specifically, we have broadened our focus to include other areas of interest such as the consumer goods and services sector.
